WHITEWATER, Wisconsin — On Friday morning, a car was hit by a semi-truck hauling steel pipes in Whitewater, Walworth County, killing one person and injuring two — one of whom was seriously injured.
The Sheriff’s Office stated that preliminary investigations revealed that just after 10 am, a woman was driving her Dodge Neon south on Highway 12 when she tried to turn into Walworth Avenue. But the driver did not give way, and a semi-truck dragging a pipe hit the car.
The sheriff's office said a male passenger in the car was killed in the crash. The female driver of the vehicle was taken to the hospital in critical condition. The semi-trailer driver was also taken to the hospital for treatment.
