- No. 1 Contender's Match for IMPACT World Heavyweight Championship: Alex Shelley vs. Chris Sabin

- There was a video highlighting the career of Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin, known as a tag team unit as the Motor City Machine Guns. This package was used to promote their match to become the #1 Contender for the Impact World Heavyweight Championship.

- Tom Hannifan & Matt Rehwoldt welcomed the audience to the broadcast, quickly transitioning to the opening match.

VXT (Deonna Purrazzo & Chelsea Green) vs. Jordynne Grace & Mia Yim.

Purrazzo and Grace began the match locking up, with Purzzo quickly transitioning with a wrist lock. Grace broke the hold with leg scissors to Purrazzo's head. Purrazzo got another wrist lock, but Grace broke the hold with a chop, a hip toss, and a shoulder tackle on Grace. Grace hit a back-elbow on Purrazzo, slammed her head into the top turnbuckle, and hit a lariat on Purrazzo for a near fall. Yim got Purrazzo with a backslide for a near fall. Yim tripped Purrazzo for a near fall. Yim hit three arm-drags on Green before hitting her with a big boot on Green and a kick to the spine for a near fall. Grace hit Green with a stalling body slam for a near fall. Purrazzo distracted the referee to prevent him from seeing Yim tag in. Purrazzo dropped Grace from the apron before Green hit a pump kick for a near fall. Green hit a Curb Stomp on Grace into the bottom turnbuckle for a near fall. Purrazzo and Green hit a trip/ kick combo on Grace for a near fall. Purrazzo and Green went for a double-suplex on Grace, but Grace outpowered them and hit them with a double suplex. Grace tossed Green over the top rope and slammed Purrazzo into the ring corner. Grace hit a german suplex on Green before tagging in Yim. Yim sent Green into Purrazzo to hit a DDT/Neck breaker combo. Green tripped Yim. Yim and Grace exchanged strikes on green and Purrazzo before tossing them out of the ring and hitting them with stereo tope suicidas. Yim got Purrazzo back in the ring for a near fall. Purrazzo hit a Flatliner on Yim before Green hit a Curb Stomp on Yim into the mat for a near fall. Grace hit a spinebuster on Purrazzo, but Green hit her with a lifter DDT. Yim hit a missile dropkick on Green for a near fall. and Green hit a jawbreaker on Yim. Yim slammed Purrazzo and Green into each other before hitting them with double-stunners. Green and Purrazzo hit a double-spinning slam on Yim for the pinfall win.

Winners: VXT (Deonna Purrazzo & Chelsea Green).

- Matt Taven and Mike Bennett cut a promo saying that they were pissed that they still don't have a shot at the IMPACT Tag Team Championships. Kenny King & Vincent called out heath, saying that if it continues to attack members it will be no more games. Eddie Edwards questioned Vincent about why PCO was not with him during the attack. Maria Kanellis said that OGK vs Bullet Club would have no honor.

Mike Bailey (c) vs. Deaner (w/ Joe Doering).

Bailey launched forearm strikes before Deaner punched Bailey. Deaner gauged his eyes before taunting the crowd. Bailey slammed Deaner in the corner and went for Ultimate Weapon, but Deaner evaded. Bailey hit an arm drag and a dropkick on Deaner. Bailey got Deaner in a Boston Crab, but Deaner got a rope break. Bailey hit a big boot on Deaner, sending him out of the ring. Bailey chased Deaner across the outside of the ring, but Deaner caught Bailey with the IMPACT Sheet. Doering hit a shoulder tackle while the referee was distracted before the commercial break. Back from the break, Deaner stomps down Bailey and hit him with two chops. Bailey hit two chops of his own, but Deaner gauged his eyes, hit a body slam and hit a knee-drop on Bailey for a near fall. Deaner placed Bailey's neck in the middle turnbuckle and hit a missile dropkick in the bum, followed by a neck breaker for a near fall. Bailey hit a big boot, speed kicks, and an enziguri kick on Deaner. Bailey hit an ax kick, a kick to the chest, and a running tornillo Splash on Deaner for a near fall. Deaner placed Bailey in the top corner and hit a running knee-drop in his abdomen before hitting a lifted powerbomb on Bailey for a near fall. Bailey and Deaner exchanged chops before Bailey kicked Deaner straight in the chest. Bailey hit a pump-fake sidekick on Deaner, but Deaner rolled to the apron. Bailey went for Ultimate Weapon on the apron but landed on his knees. Deaner went for a dripping DDT, but Bailey reversed it with a pin attempt for a near fall. Deaner hit Bailey with a running neck breaker. Bailey hit a top rope moonsault on Deaner to the outside. Bailey hit a standing moonsault knee drop for a near fall. Bailey sent Deaner into the corner before hitting him with the Ultimate Weapon for the pinfall win.

- There was a video highlight of Sting vs. Ric Flair from 2011 ahead of Starrcade 5: Ric Flair's Last Match.

- Gail Kim revealed to Chelsea Green and Deonna Purrazzo that they will be challenging Taya Valkyrie and Rosemary on Emergence for the MPACT Knockouts Tag Team Championships after their win against Mia Yim & Jordynne Grace.

- There was a backstage vignette showing Eric Young, Deaner, and Joe Doering alleging after Deaner's loss against Bailey. Young told Deaner that if he is still healthy, to get rid of the sickness.

Madison Rayne (w/ Gisele Shaw) vs. Masha Slamovich.

Madison Rayne begged Masha Slamovich to not kill her, but Slamovich tossed Rayne into the middle turnbuckle. Rayne went for a sunset bomb, but Slamovich tore Rayne's face mask off, slammed Rayne with a double-hand chokeslam, and stomped down Rayne's mask. Slamovich ended up proceeding decisively with the Snow Plow for the pinfall win. After the match, Slamovich gave Gisele Shaw a manilla envelope. This one showed a picture of Shaw with a red X, teasing Shaw as her next victim.

- Bhupinder Gujjar confronted IMPACT Digital Media Champion Brian Myers, saying that Myers was scared of him. Myers told him that Vincent was talking trash before walking out of the scene to inform Vincent that Gujjar accepted his challenge.

- There was a video package promoting Killer Kelly, who was revealed to return to on the 7/28/2022 edition of IMPACT Wrestling.

OGK (Matt Taven & Mike Bennett) (w/ Maria Kanellis) vs. Ace Austin & Chris Bey.

Austin and Bey hit the shimmy to taunt Bennett and Taven before the match. Taven and Austin began the match with Austin getting Taven in a side headlock, transitioning into a wrist lock. Taven reversed the hold with a bulldog choke, but Austin reversed it with a waist lock, a trip, a kick on Taven's back, and La Casita for a near fall. Austin hit a leg drop on Taven for a near fall. Taven hit a leaping dropkick on Austin. Austin hit a leaping dropkick of his own on Taven. Bey got Bennett in an arm-drag lock. Bennett and Bey exchanged wrist locks before exchanging chops. Bennett hit a shoulder tackle on Bey, but Bey got Bennett in half-Tijeras. Bey hit a rope-assisted Tijeras and a dropkick on Bennett for a near fall. OGK hit an Irish Whip/Big Boot/ Forearm Strike/ Middle Rope dropkick on Bey for a near fall from Taven. Austin tagged in, but Taven hit a leg-lariat on Bey. Austin hit a spring rope spinning heel kick on Austin. Taven tossed Austin out of the ring, thanks to an assist from Kanellis. Austin hit rope-assisted head scissors on Taven on the outside. Austin kicked Taven in the head. Bennett hit a forearm strike on Austin on the outside of the ring before hitting him with a bodyslam on the floor. Back in the ring, Taven and Bennett hit a forearm/ purple Thunder bomb combo for a near fall. Bennett locked in a knee-assisted headlock on Austin, but Austin broke the hold, but Bennett hit him with a back elbow for a near fall. OGK hit Austin with a double Irish whip, but Austin evaded and tagged in Bey. Bey hit a clothesline on Taven, a clothesline on Bennett, tossed Taven out of the ring, and hit both Taven and Bennett in a DDT/Flat liner combination. Bey hit Bennett with a rack-attack neck breaker for a near fall. Austin kicked Taven in the head. Bey and Austin hit a knee-drop/ superkick/ double-stomp combo before Taven broke the pin. Bennett hit a super kick on Bey. Bennett hit a suplex and Taven went for a frog splash, but Bey evaded. Bey hit a rope-assisted DDT on Bennett. Maria Kanellis distracted the referee long enough for Taven. From out of nowhere, Heath hit the Wake-Up Call on Taven while the referee was distracted before sprinting to the crowd. Austin tagged in and hit The Fold for the pinfall win

Winners: Ace Austin & Chris Bey.

- Steve Maclin was interviewed by Gia Miller, saying that he has been ready for Sami Callihan because their feud will be war. Callihan attacked Maclin from behind, but Maclin hit him with a steel pipe. Moose slammed Callihan into the wall. Callihan turned the lights on & off to escape the onslaught from Moose and Maclin.

- Taya Valkyrie, Rosemary, and Jessika were backstage. Jessika refused to wear Havok's mask. Jessika instead wore Taya's jacket. Rosemary stormed out of the scene in anger while Jessika and Taya continued to talk.

- IMPACT World Heavyweight Champion Josh Alexander and Scott D'Amore talked backstage before being interrupted by Rich Swann. Swann said he has his mojo back and challenged Alexander, but D'Amore instead told him that he will face former NXT Cruiserweight Champion Kushida on the 7/28/2022 edition of IMPACT Wrestling.

- Rey Horus vs. Bandido is scheduled for Emergence. Eddie Edwards vs. Ace Austin was announced for the 7/28/2022 edition of IMPACT Wrestling.

No. 1 Contender's Match for IMPACT World Heavyweight Championship.

Alex Shelley vs. Chris Sabin.

Sabin and Shelley shook hands before the two locked up. Shelley and Sabin exchanged wrist-locks before Shelley got an inverted pin for a near fall. Sabin and Shelley continued to exchange wrist locks before Sabin reversed a Casita attempt into a pin for a near fall. Sabin got Shelley in a side headlock, but Shelley reversed it with the border city stretch before transitioning for another pinfall attempt for a near fall. The two locked up again before Shelley chopped Sabin. Sabin hit Shelley with a neck breaker before hitting a forearm strike and another neck breaker for a near fall. Sabin stomped Shelley's back before getting Shelley in a backslide for a near fall. Sabin hit a knee-drop on Shelley's neck before choking him into the top rope. Sabin hit a headbutt on Shelley's neck before getting an S-Grip headlock on Shelley. Shelley hit inside kicks on Sabin's leg, but Sabin hit a knee-strike on Shelley's abdomen and another neck breaker for a near fall. Sabin got Shelley in a CRAVAT, but Shelley reversed it with an arm drag. Shelley hit a low dropkick on Sabin's knee before the commercial break. Back from the break, Shelley targeted Sabin's before hitting a rope-assisted Dragon Screw on Sabin's injured left leg. Shelley got Sabin in a modified Figure Four Heel Hook, but Sabin broke the hold with a rope break. Shelley stomped Sabin's foot before hitting a neck breaker of his own on Sabin. Shelley got Sabin in a knee-to-head submission before transitioning into a crucifix for a near fall. Shelley got Sabin in a modified Ankle Lock on Sabin, but Sabin broke the hold with kicks on Shelley's leg. Sabin got a crucifix on Shelley for a near fall before hitting a DDT on Shelley. Sabin kicked Shelley's arm before kicking Shelley in the chest. Sabin hit a cross body on Shelley for a near fall. Sabin hit a Helluva Kick on Shelley before hitting a top-rope Tornado DDT on Shelley for a near fall. Shelley hit a mule kick on Sabin's injured knee before hitting a double-leg Dragon Screw on Sabin's legs. Shelley hit Sabin with an Inverted DDT on Sabin for a near fall, quickly transitioning into the Border City Stretch submission, but Sabin got the rope break to stop the hold. Shelley hit a series of short-hand chops on Sabin before hitting an arm breaker, but Sabin responded with an enziguri kick and a running Kick on Shelley's head. Sabin hit a German suplex on Shelley, but Shelley responded with a Superkick. Shelley went for Sliced Bread, but Sabin reversed it with a super kick. Shelley hit a super kick of his own, but Sabin hit a Clothesline from Hell, Michigan on Shelley. Shelley hit Sliced Bread on Sabin for a near fall. Shelley went for Border City Stretch, but Sabin reversed it with a roll-up for a near fall. Shelley hi the Shellshock for a near fall before transitioning into another Border City Stretch. With nowhere to go, Sabin had no choice but to tap out. Shelley won the match via submission, heading into his first ever IMPACT World Championship Match against the champion, Josh Alexander on Emergence.

- Sabin and Shelley embraced in the ring, but Doering and Deaner attacked the Motor City Machine Guns. Off all people, Kushida got rid of both members of VBD to make the save. Kushida, Shelley, and Sabin stood tall to end the show.
